Waves in solar atmosphere and their role in space weather

Task 3.1 Study of dispersion characteristics of MHD waves propagating in eruptive phenomena, modelled as moving vertical magnetic tubes.

Determining the conditions for occurring of the Kelvin – Helmholtz (KH) instability and estimating the energy flow carrying by the waves as well as its influence on the space weather.

Task 3.2 Study of the KH instability of the large scale prominence arch, modeled as magnetic flux having a half-torus shape.

Calculations of the steady-state waves dispersion law and critical velocityof the flow for occurrence of instability.
